Liverpool’s Egypt International has signed a new two-year contract with the Premier League leader.
Liverpool forward Mohamed Sara has signed a new contract to extend his eight-year stay at Anfield, the Premier League club said.
The 32-year-old Egypt International previously had a Roman spell in Chelsea and Italian Serie A in the Premier League.
Speculation was measuring that the forward could be set up to end his stay at Anfield. Sarah herself said in December that the deal was “far”.
The Saudi Arabia’s move to the Pro League was highly debated as the forward’s next destination in September 2023, with reports that the champion had submitted an offer of £225 million ($270 million) to the champion.
“Of course I’m very excited. We have a great team right now. We had a great team before. But we signed it because we think we’ll have the opportunity to win other trophies and enjoy football,” Sarah said in a statement Friday.
“It’s amazing, I had the best years here. I played eight years and hope it’s 10 years old. I enjoy my life here and enjoy my football. I have the best years of my career.
“I want to say [the fans]I’m very pleased to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win lots of big trophies together. Keep supporting us, and we will do our best to do it, and hopefully we will win more trophies. ”
