Robot vacuum cleaner maker Narwal unveiled a new smart vacuum set at the Consumer Electronics Show with AI-powered features such as monitoring pets, locating valuables, and notifying users of misplaced toys.
The company said its new flagship robot vacuum cleaner, Flow 2, has a rounded design that makes it easier to lift the tank and improve cleaning performance. The device uses two 1080p RGB cameras with a 136-degree field of view to map areas and uses an AI model to recognize different types of objects.
Narwal said this technology stack gives the vacuum cleaner the ability to identify an unlimited number of objects. The device first attempts to identify the object locally, but if no match is found, it sends the data to the cloud for further processing.

Flow 2 has three key modes: Pet Care Mode, Baby Care Mode, and AI Floor Tag Mode. Pet care mode allows you to define zones where your pet usually rests or hangs out for cleaning. Additionally, you can monitor your pet and check in on him with two-way audio (though there’s no guarantee your pet will hear you). In baby care mode, the vacuum switches to silent mode near the crib and alerts you to any toys you’ve left behind. In AI floor tag mode, the vacuum cleaner recognizes, avoids and alerts you to valuables such as jewelry.
Narwal said the company’s latest vacuum cleaner has four cleaning modes that can identify different types of dirt. The device also returns to the base to clean the mop and re-mop the specific area if it’s dirty. The company said the Flow 2’s design allows for higher hot water wash temperatures for increased cleaning effectiveness.

In addition to the Flow 2, the company also showed off a handheld vacuum cleaner called the U50 that weighs 1.41 kg (3.1 lbs) and features UV-C sterilization in addition to heat treatment for allergen removal. The company also demonstrated an unnamed cordless vacuum cleaner with a slim design, 360-degree rotation, and up to 50 minutes of run time. The cordless vacuum also comes with an automatic emptying station that can support up to 60 days of dusting.
