Coaches from former West Indies, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh led the US to the 2024 T20 World Cup Super 8S.
Former Australian batsman Stuart Law was named coach of the Nepal men’s team on a two-year contract.
The 56-year-old replaced Montidesai, whose two-year stint with the South Asian side ended after Nepal’s Cricket Association (CAN) decided not to renew his contract.
The Law, runner-up with Australia at the 1996 Cricket World Cup, last coached the United States, leading them to eight Super 8 of last year’s Twenty 20 World Cup with the appearance of last year’s World Cup.
The former right-handed batsman left the role after being in charge just six months later, despite his victory over Pakistan leading the US to one of the biggest turmoils in World Cup history.
The laws that appeared in one test of 54 one day internationals and Australia also included spells with the West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
Nepal will face Scotland and the Netherlands in June as part of the qualifiers for the 2027 Cricket World Cup, which will be performed in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.
He then took part in the qualifying rounds for the 2026 T20 World Cup in October, finishing only one point in the 2024 edition.
Away from his time with Australia, Law spent much of his UK career in Essex and Lancashire, where he played the role of head coach in Middlesex before being appointed to the US.
