Barcelona-based exhibitions and conferences IBTM World has launched a new event, the second season of the podcast.
The new season is hosted by Shonali Devereaux (pictured) and is designed with two-week episodes designed to inspire and support fresh insights, practical advice and innovative ways of working year-round.
With a lineup of leading spokesmen from both within and outside the industry, the new event will explore topics such as preventing professional burnout, creating compelling stories through events, and how to promote inclusion and accessibility.
In each 30-minute episode, Devereaux brings listeners the highlights of conversations recorded at IBTM World in Barcelona last year, after chatting with headline interviewees. Thinking-inducing content is intended to encourage people to think more about the industry they work in and the people they work with.
In the first episode of this new season, Devereaux speaks to Mike Ford, owner of Grateful Lemon, and shares powerful insights into how burnout and event experts approach stress, recovery and sleep.
We hear from BoKrüger, the Move Minds speaker and meeting designer, from the show floor at IBTM World 2024. Krüger uses the “yes” idea to reveal how stress can become creative when inspiring innovation more than ever before.
Host Devereaux commented: As each is full of very insightful and engaging takeaways, I would recommend streaming the first episode of Season 2 today to anyone working in the meeting or event industry and offering new events at events that won’t miss out on the episode. ”
Claudia Hall, exhibition director at IBTM World, said: “The podcast is a media chosen by so many people and we are extremely proud to bring extraordinary conversations and insights to our global audience of events, across the global stages of IBTM.”
New episodes 1 and 2 of Event Season 2 are available via all the great podcast channels, including Spotify and Amazon Music.
The IBTM world will return to FIRA in Barcelona from November 18th to 20th, 2025.
