When and when is Oscar 2025?
The 97th Academy Awards are scheduled for Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
The ceremony will begin at 4pm (Midnight GMT) and official red carpet coverage will begin at 3:30pm (23:30pm GMT).
Who hosts the Academy Awards?
This year’s Oscar will be hosted by comedian and former late-night show host Conan O’Brien, and will host the event for the first time.

Who is introducing and performing at the Oscars?
Many stars will be awarding awards at this year’s Oscars. Last year’s winners will feature golden statues such as Cillian Murphy, Emma Stone, Robert Downey Jr, and Da’vine Joy Randolph.
They will be joined by celebrities such as Halle Berry, Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Willem Dafoe, Selena Gomez, Ben Stiller and Oprah Winfrey.

Leading the nominations, Spanish musical Emilia Perez set a record for nominations for non-English films in Oscar history with 13 nods.
Emilia Perez is a musical crime drama about leaders of Mexican cartels who have undergone gender transitions to escape the past.
Following the 10 nominations, the film tells the story of a drama about an architect who has been pursuing American dreams after surviving the Holocaust, and the origins of the evil witches of the West.

What is the biggest surprise and snub?
This year’s nominations feature both groundbreaking inclusion and surprising omissions.
As the only film by an Arab filmmaker nominated for this year’s Oscar, the rest of the lands do not stand out. A documentary directed by Palestinian filmmaker Basel Adora and Israeli co-director Yuval Abraham, the film explores different realities that two friends navigate. Abraham gives Israeli license plates unlimited travel and adra.

We live with each other for 30 minutes, but I have the right to vote, Basel has no right to vote,” Abraham told the media. “I can move freely where I want this land. The nomination of Emilia Perez’s Cara Sofia Gascon for Best Actress is a historic moment. She will become the first openly trans actor to be nominated for an Oscar. However, her past social media posts have sparked controversy.
Gascon’s old post resurfaced in January, revealing offensive remarks about Muslims. George Floyd, a black man killed by a white Minneapolis police officer in 2020, sparked a global racial calculation. Oscar diversity. In response, Netflix removed Gascon from Emilia Perez’s promotional activities, and director Jack Audido criticized the post in an interview with Deadline.
Gascon skipped the nomination dinner on Tuesday, but is scheduled to attend the Oscar ceremony.

What is the prediction of the winner?
Early predictions show that Anora, a film about a Brooklyn stripper who marries the son of a Russian oligarch, is the best best photo candidate with director Shawn Baker.
Anora recently won the Director’s Guild and Producer Guild Award, while Conclave, a thriller about the power struggle and secrets in the Vatican’s Pope election, won the Baftus and Screen Actor Guild Award. Conclave’s storyline is particularly moving as concerns grows while Pope Francis’ health is at a dangerous state in the hospital.
In the acting race, Adrian Brody’s performance as the Brittalist Hungarian and Jewish architect Lazlo Toss ranks him as a leading candidate for Best Actor, and competes closely with Timothy Chalamett, who recently won the Screen Actors Guild Award for his portrayal of the entirely unknown Bob Dylan.
Demi Moore, who plays an actor and television fitness instructor who are facing a career decline due to material ageism, has been attracting a lot of attention in the best actress category along with Mikey Madison (Anola) and Fernanda Torres (I’m still here).
