Ukrainian officials say the Russian attacks collided with Donetsk and Kharkiv regions, causing damage to buildings and vehicles.

At least 14 people have been killed in an overnight attack on the eastern region of Ukraine.

Ukrainian emergency services said on Saturday that Russian forces crashed into the town of Dubropyria in the East Donetsk region on Friday night, killing 11 people and injuring 30 people.

Emergency Services added that eight five-storey apartment buildings, management buildings and 30 cars were damaged.

At least three people have been killed and seven have been injured after a Russian drone attack in Bogodukiv, Kharkiv, eastern Kharkiv.

In Odesa, drone attacks caused several fires, affecting agricultural equipment, service station buildings, auto parts stores, solar panels held in open areas and hangars in four-storey industrial buildings.

At the same time, Leningrad region governor, Alexander Drosdenko, said on Saturday that a tank at one of Russia’s biggest Kirisi refineries, was damaged by falling debris after a Ukrainian drone was shot down.

The overnight attack came when Ukrainian President Volodymea Zelensky said he was working with the United States to “accelerate the peace.”

“We do a lot of work here in Europe, the US and Saudi Arabia. We are preparing meetings to accelerate peace and strengthen the foundations of security,” he wrote to X on Friday night.

“Today, intense work with President Trump’s team is ongoing at various levels. A large number of calls. The topic is clear – peace as soon as possible, security as surely as possible. Ukraine is fully committed to a constructive approach.”

We continue to work with our partners who seek peace, just like us, focusing on the steps we need. There will be a lot of work going on next week in Europe, the US and Saudi Arabia. We are preparing meetings to accelerate peace and strengthen the foundations of security.

On Friday, Trump told reporters it was “easier” to deal with Russia to ensure the end of a three-year war than Ukraine, but he had previously told him he was “strongly considering” sanctions against Russia for the attack.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andri Sibikha spoke to his counterpart, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, before Ukraine US planned negotiations in Saudi Arabia.

During the call, Sibiha wrote that he wrote to X on Friday. The two officials discussed future meetings and ways to “advance bilateral cooperation.”

Zelenskyy will arrive in Saudi Arabia on Monday to speak with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian officials are expected to hold new talks with the country’s US counterparts following the tense televised conflict between Trump and Zelensky at the end of February.
