Nashville, Tennessee (AP) – 2023 Shots Nashville Elementary School Attack A police report released Wednesday found that six people, including three children, had been planning it for many years, but they had been planning it for years.

Included in the roughly 50-page survey case overview Long-standing details The highlight of the contract school shooting highlights the elaborate lengths that the shooters filmed to study and plan the massacres at Christian institutions without causing interference from mental health providers.

The prospect of releasing the archer’s writings sparked a legal battle. Some documents It’s leaking, And while Wednesday’s report closes the Nashville Police investigation Photo taken in March 2023, The battle over other things that should be released — regarding that attack and others — is ongoing.

The research found that there was no manifesto. Instead, 28-year-old shooter Audrey Hale said, “A series of series.” Notebooks, art composition books, media files “The police have decided that they recorded plans and preparations for the attack, as well as life events and other motives. Hale, who was once present in the contract, was killed by police.

Hale wanted to kill at least 40 people, hoping to inspire books, documentaries and films.

Hale occasionally used male pronouns, but police reports use female pronouns, describing the definition of state law of “sex” as “determined by the anatomy and genetics present at birth.” Police said they identified Hale as a man.

The report admits but dismisses speculation that Hale’s mental health provider could be criminally liable for not intervening.

The report says Hale’s parents and therapist have been worried about his mental health for many years. A psychological assessment conducted by Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2019 and 2021 concluded that Hale did not suffer from psychosis and did not recommend outpatient treatment.

“She has ample experience in the mental health care system and manipulates which topics should be avoided in the provider and how they can manipulate them, and believes that documented issues regarding murder and suicidal ideation have been going well in the past.”

Police found that Hale became more manipulative as Hale’s parents and therapist became more concerned. At one point, Hale had planned to kill her mother, despite her “strong emotional attachment” to her, to prevent her discovery, the report said.

Hale avoided using his credit or debit card at the costs associated with the attack, knowing that his mother had access to his account. Hale also frequently deleted attack-related material from his computer and cell phone, police wrote, as his mother couldn’t find it.

Hale chose contract school for several reasons, police said. He felt he was not overwhelmed Staff and students there. He thought he would become famous for attacking Christian schools. And he had happy memories of going to school.

“Hale often said that her time on the contract was happiest during her childhood education,” police wrote.

Police dismissed speculation about racial, religious or economic motivations in the shooting, saying “none of these motivations affected her decision to attack the contract,” but Hale “furiated these topics in her writings.”

Hale investigated other shooting locations, including highly travelled roads and shopping malls, according to the report.

As early as 2018, Hale had planned an attack on Creswell Middle, attended by Nashville Public Schools after the Covenant. Hale created a detailed plan, including a timeline. But by March 2020, Hale began to question. While most Creswell students were black, Hale was worried about being labelled racist, “were not worried about killing someone regardless of a particular demographic category,” police wrote.

The report points out that Covenant was preparing for a school shooting with blackout curtains and security bars for classroom doors. After staff knew the building shooters, those precautions appeared to be working. Hale wandered the hallway, unable to find a target and instead “shooted the TV, doors and windows where no one was there.”

People killed Filming was performed by nine-year-old Evelyn Dicous, Harry Scruggs and William Kinney. Cynthia Peak, 61; Katherine Koonse, 60; Mike Hill, 61.

Mary Joyce, who had third graders in class with the murdered children, said on Wednesday she remembered talking to Koonse and the male teacher at her parent’s orientation in the fall before filming about preparations for the school shooter’s case.

“He remembers getting emotional about it, but he said, “I’m really grateful that I’m ready when something happens.” And that’s what it did,” Joyce said.
