Crafted with bubbly qualities, toned elements, and stunning volumes, Karner’s designs blended drama and intricate detail. A textural quality covered the entire black fabric, perfectly accentuated by the sheer mass of the jacket.

Despite the volume, the pieces didn’t feel overwhelming. The cinched waist gave a real silhouette, and Latifah’s hands together gave the illusion of being larger and more unobtrusive.

Singer Lauryn Hill won the Living Legend Icon Award, and “One Battle After Another” Oscar nominee Teyana Taylor won the Icon of the Year award.
