Spain’s Queen Letizia revived one of her Hugo Boss dresses on Thursday at the Ortega Maranhão Foundation headquarters in Madrid to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the ethics magazine.

The Queen wore a jade-colored sleeveless dress with exposed seams and cinched at the waist with a belt. This midi dress has a round neckline and visible seams on the front and sides, all the way to the skirt.

A belted waist with black buckles accentuates the modern silhouette of the dress, and the skirt has a slight slit in the center front. Illusion flap pockets also added a modern element, and the straight lines helped lengthen the dress.

Other elements of Queen Letizia’s outfit for Thursday’s outing in Madrid included black slingback pointed toe heels and a Carolina Herrera “Victoria” insignia satchel bag, also cast in black, to coordinate with the belt buckle and heels.

Queen Letizia favored a minimalist approach to jewelery creations. The Spanish Royal Family wore gold and roses triple hoops. As far as Queen Letizia’s dress is concerned, this is not the first time the royal family has worn it. In fact, it’s been part of her wardrobe for years.

The Hugo Boss dress has been in Queen Letizia’s closet since the early 2020s, but it was not the Queen of Spain’s everyday wear. Still, this dress follows a trend of rewearing and repurposing wardrobe items, followed by several European royals. Britain’s Kate Middleton, for example, has a long history of re-wearing and upcycling dresses from her closet, including pieces by McQueen and other designers.

Hugo Boss is one of several brands that Queen Letizia has in her wardrobe rotation. She also wears pieces by Mango, Pertegas, Carolina Herrera, and more.
