Samsung Electronics excels in partnership with Twickenham Film Studios (TFS) and Virtual Production Company to install Virtual Production (VP) technology on your Twickenham site.
The partnership allows all parties to work closely together to promote virtual production as a creative, cost-effective, and more sustainable production process. Installation of the new facility is expected to be completed by the end of May 2025.
This represents Samsung’s first major LED screen build in the UK, becoming the third globally and housed in Twickenham’s historic Stage 3. It is one of the UK’s largest permanent LED stages, featuring a 24 x 4.5m rear wall, a 105m LED ceiling, a mobile totem wall, a turntable and a motion control crane.
Ultra-Large LED Wall creates virtual content and integrates with real-time visual effects technology for incredible results.
Deborah Honig, Chief Customer Officer at Samsung Electronics, said: “By amplifying digital effects, this technology opens the door to endless possibilities for filmmakers, producers and content creators across a variety of industries.
TFS owner Sunny Vola commented: “This new venture, which took over Twickenham Film Studios in 2012, marks the next stage in its multi-year strategy to invest in Twickenham’s future. Samsung is our ideal partner.
Russell Shaw’s director of Virtual Production added: “This stage serves all projects, from features and television to advertising and social content. It’s a bold statement about Twickenham’s commitment to a future of filmmaking that supports the British film, television and media industries and embraces new technology.”
