The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) has announced an update to its partnership with Amvale Scotland Ltd as the official provider of health services following the competitive bidding process.

With the renewed agreement, Amvale will continue to provide comprehensive medical coverage across SEC Center, SEC Armadillo and OVO Hydro, which supports the safety and welfare of visitors at the venue.

Colin Hartley, operations director at SEC, said: “There have been many strong bids, but we are pleased to appoint Amvale based on our broad experience, track record of collaboration and commitment to continuous improvement.”

The updated agreement will help strengthen Glasgow’s ability to safely and efficiently host world-class events and ensure that medical assistance on campus meets and exceeds industry standards.

Amvale’s Glasgow-based team offers all kinds of services, including on-site emergency care, mental health support, rapid response vehicles and a well-equipped on-site medical centre.

The contract also includes providing First Responsive Emergency Care (FREC 3) certified staff as a standard.

“We are extremely proud to continue supporting the SEC. This is an international flagship venue not only Scotland but our team is dedicated to supporting the SEC’s mission to provide high quality pre-hospital care and provide a safe and seamless experience for all.”

In addition to supporting major international events, the partnership will continue to play a year-round role in supporting Glasgow’s vibrant event sector and visitor economy.
