Shark realized something that no other vacuum cleaner brand had ever done before. That means you can use colors other than black or white on your vacuum cleaner.

Launched on June 3, the Shark Home Luxe collection features top Shark robot vacuums and top Shark cordless vacuums in four chic earth tones. “As robot vacuums and cordless systems become a more visible part of everyday life, consumers are increasingly looking for products that feel more integrated with their spaces, rather than something they want to hide,” the press release states.

I couldn’t feel more watched. I can’t remember the last time I reviewed a robot or cordless vacuum cleaner and didn’t consider its appeal. If you live in an apartment with limited floor space, a large, fancy automatic vacuum cleaner should be installed in the main living space where it will be seen every day.

The decision to move to fun colors may seem easy, but during the briefing we learned that the design process for the Luxe collection is actually quite complex.

Shark’s design team drew inspiration from natural elements that are already reflected in our homes through furniture, floors, and walls. The green isn’t just green, it’s “sagewood” or “evergreen.” Brown and tan? Similar to “espresso” and “oat stone”. Whether your decorating style is modern, rustic, boho, or an eclectic mix that only you can describe exactly, the Luxe Home collection has a color to match your vibe.

Beyond the color palette, the design team used ribbed textures, metallic details, and satin finishes to maximize the general visual interest of each vacuum. The goal was to add a touch of natural luxury to the chosen muted, organic hues, moving far away from the utilitarian tech hunks we’ve been forced to accept in a vacuum for years.

Most surprisingly, both Luxe collections are priced the same as the “regular” collection. The Luxe Shark PowerDetect Speed ​​Clean & Empty costs $499.99 and the Luxe Shark UV Reveal Robot Vacuum Cleaner costs $1,299.99. Let’s consider the options.

I currently have the Sagewood version of the PowerDetect Speed ​​at home for testing, so I already have a hunch that this will be the new stick vacuum for promoting carpets. The suction is so powerful that you can feel the brush roll digging into the carpet fibers, but the carefully designed airflow allows it to be easily pushed over the rug.

The Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal Robot Vacuum is one of the most innovative robot vacuum and mop combos of 2026 so far, and arguably the best Shark robot vacuum of all time.

During each cleaning mission, this Shark bot repeatedly scans your hard floors with a UV light to find invisible dirt that you might otherwise miss. If something is detected, UV Reveal will start a full-fledged spot cleaning mode. This involves scrubbing from multiple angles with 1,000 sonic vibrations per minute.

In my testing, the UV Reveal encountered many hidden dry puddles (one was cat vomit that wasn’t cleaned thoroughly, and another was the sticky liquid that always formed near the cat food and water bowls). I didn’t know they existed, nor did the AI ​​dirt detection cameras on other high-end robot vacuums I was testing. NGL, this is a fascinating process to watch. After looking at the time spent mopping each stained area, we could confirm that the hardwood felt very sanitary once the UV reveal was complete.
