Spotify makes it easy for users to switch from other streaming services. The company on Thursday announced an integration with TuneMyMusic, a tool that allows you to transfer playlists from other streaming services to your Spotify library.

This new feature is currently rolling out to all Spotify users and can be found in the “Your Library” section of the Spotify mobile app. To use TuneMyMusic, scroll to the bottom of the page, tap the new option called “Import Music,” and follow the prompts to connect to the service.

Then select the platform you want to transfer your playlists from and the playlists will appear in your Spotify library.

Just to be clear, this process doesn’t delete the original playlist, it just copies it to Spotify. At launch, TuneMyMusic supports transferring playlists from services such as Amazon Music, Apple Music, Deezer, Pandora, SoundCloud, Tidal, and YouTube Music.

The addition of this new feature will increase competition in the streaming wars while also helping you win on the data portability front.

Apple Music, one of Spotify’s biggest competitors, already offers a way for iPhone and iPad users to transfer saved music and playlists from other services to their Apple Music library through a feature built directly into the Settings app in iOS and iPadOS. This option is also available on the Android version of the Apple Music app.

YouTube Music Premium users can also import playlists from other services such as Spotify.

For customers considering making the switch to Spotify, Spotify’s built-in transfer functionality could help support the transition. The online version of TuneMyMusic only allows you to transfer 500 songs for free, which is another great perk. For unlimited transfers, users must upgrade to a paid plan.

Spotify hasn’t disclosed the terms of its deal with TuneMyMusic, but this is likely to be a win-win for both companies, as it will allow TuneMyMusic to acquire large customers while also bringing more customers to Spotify.
