At this week’s annual YouTube event, YouTube unveiled a ton of new updates, features and tools for creators, including YouTube Live updates and new ways to monetize.
The studio update includes dubs of “similar” detection and lip syncs, and the company offers new AI tools for podcasters to promote the show.
Everything that was announced on Made on YouTube.
New Studio

The company has shown to Studio new and updated tools that creators use to manage channels and track analytics. Updates include the Inspiration tab, Title A/B test function, automatic dubbing, and more.
What caught our attention was the “similar” detection feature, which was announced last year and became available to several creators. It’s now an open beta version. People can use facial portraits to detect, manage and flag fraudulent videos.
Powered by AI, Ask Studio can guide users and answer questions about your account, allowing creators to work with up to five others in one video. This is available to viewers from all participating video makers.
YouTube Live

YouTube has provided live, live streaming platforms and several updates. It allows creators to play mini-games to entertain viewers, broadcast simultaneously in both horizontal and vertical formats, provides AI-powered highlights, accommodate live events, use new ad formats, and more.

AI-driven highlights automatically select the best moment from the live stream to turn it into shared shorts, while a new ad format called “side-by-side” runs adjacent to main content similar to split screen displays, rather than interrupting the stream.
YouTube brings a custom version of Google’s text-to-video generation AI model, VEO 3, to the shorts, offering new remix tools, “edit with AI” features and more.
Fast VEO 3 allows creators to apply motion from video to images, add different styles to the video, and insert objects into the video with a simple text prompt, as they are called custom versions. Creators can also use Google’s AI music model, Lyria 2, to convert the video of their choice into the catchy soundtrack of other shorts.
YouTube music
YouTube Music also had several updates designed to deepen engagement between creators and their fans.
These include countdown timers for new releases and the opportunity to provide fans with a “thank you” video. The company is testing a pilot program aimed at US listeners that will allow access to exclusive product drops from artists.

Podcasters AI
According to YouTube, US video podcast creators will be able to create clips more easily with AI suggestions. New features rolling out next year will provide a way to turn audio podcasts into video podcasts
New monetization features
YouTube offers creators new ways to monetize through brand trading and YouTube shopping programs. This allows creators to make money by featured and tagging products in their content. YouTube also allows creators to exchange brand sponsorships for long form videos.
Creators can also take advantage of the automatic time stamps on product tags, automatic tagging of eligible items listed on the video, and new brand linking features on shorts. AI-equipped systems help identify the optimal moment on which the product is mentioned and automatically display the product tag at that point.
Short pants creators will soon be able to add links to brand sites dedicated to brand dealings, and YouTube will actively propose creators who are the perfect brand for Creator Partnership Hub.
