Swedish-Canada Innovation 2025 is a gathering venue for Swedish and Canadian actors in innovation, technology and sustainable development.
The event will allow innovators to work with Canada in areas of electrification, battery production and growth in sustainable industries. Swedish companies can also showcase their expertise in electrification, AI and energy efficiency.
The themes for Swedish Kanadinovation 2025 are defense and security, advanced technology and electrification. Both large and large corporations are invited to participate.
The registration deadline is October 31, 2025, and expressions of interest can be made here.
Swedish-Canada Days: A Long-standing History of Collaboration
Swedish-Canada Innovation Days aims to develop and deepen the relationship between Canada and Sweden, creating business opportunities and collaboration between companies, researchers and public stakeholders.
The event brings together more than 150 representatives from Canada and Sweden, including those from the business, the public sector and academia. This event provides a platform for networking, knowledge exchange and inspiration.
The event is funded by the Swedish Energy Agency and Vinnova and is part of the Swedish Cana Dinomination Initiative, which is being implemented in collaboration with Business Sweden.

Companies will be offered by participating in Swedish Canada Innovation Day 2025.
Opportunities to meet new customers, partners and investors in the public sector. Exposure in the Innovation Zone – An exhibition area for Swedish small businesses and event sponsors. Visibility of digital event pages with the potential of a virtual booth. Opportunities to participate in panel discussions (depending on program development). An opportunity to give a short company pitch within the program’s framework.
Parallel Programs: Sweden – Kanadino Match Program 2025
In line with the Swedish Canadian era of innovation, Rise, on behalf of Vinnova, arranges small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) coaching and matchmaking programs focused on research and innovation.
The purpose of this program is to help businesses establish long-term collaborations with Canadian research and innovation actors.
Participating companies will receive the following:
A tailored partner match held in Ottawa on November 18th. Pre-, during and after-travel coaching, including support for project applications such as Horizon Europe. You will have the opportunity to participate, pitch, display in the Innovation Zone and be seen digitally on Swedish Canada’s Innovation Day, November 19th. Continuous learning visits, networking and conference programs in Ontario and Quebec.
Interested small and medium-sized businesses can register for the Innomatch program by September 28, 2025.
