Live Events and Business Communications Agency TFI Lodestar is working with the Department of Business Administration at Coventry University, laying the foundations that are expected to be a long-term relationship in commemoration of Phil Watton, a co-founder of TFI Lodestar and university alumnus.
The announcement marks the first anniversary of Watton’s death.
This relationship gives Coventry University event management and marketing students access TFI Lodestar people, projects and programs, ranging from one-on-one mentoring and shadowing to on-site work placement, practical training in creative process and event management software, and participation in TFI Lodestar’s own internal learning and development modules.
Phil Watton is a native of Litchfield and studied design at the Lanchester Polytechnic (now Coventry University).
Although he was based for much of his London career, he co-founded TFI Lodestar and is proud to be proud of his involvement in the city’s thriving music and art scene of the late 1970s and early 1980s. The collaboration with Coventry University creates a legacy in Watton’s name for the cities and academic institutions he loved.
“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the future,” said Jason Worsley, co-founder and director of TFI Lodestar. “Phill is a man of passion and integrity, and I know that his work in life was completely in circles, especially his wealth of knowledge, skills and expertise will be shared in future discoveries that have taken part in the future generation industry.
