The Engineering and Technology Agency (IET), a global engineering organization, will invest more than £500,000 in two major city centre event venues throughout 2025.
Based in two of the UK’s largest cities, IET London: Savoy Place and IET Birmingham: Austin Court will receive an upgrade worth £540,000 in total.
Austin Court, a Grade II multipurpose event venue in the heart of Midlands, completed a £150,000 WiFi upgrade early next year, certifying the venue’s connectivity network for the next decade in the future.
The 125,000 pound lift upgrade creates a smoother and more efficient guest journey around the building, while the £25,000 allocated to the new Audio-Visual (AV) Control Desk further enhances the venue’s premium event production capabilities and enhances the visitor’s sensory experience.
Savoy Place will receive a £240,000 upgrade to lighting and AV facilities next year, ensuring the level and quality of AV support the award-winning venue can offer its clients and the unparalleled quality.
“We’re looking forward to seeing you at the IET venue and facility,” said Shawn Spencer. “These investments demonstrate our commitment to providing top-notch facilities and unparalleled services, and we cannot wait for our clients and guests to feel their benefits.”
Both venues will curate events for renowned national and international clients, including Met Office, which held the Curiosity Expo Number Expo at Austin Courthouse in June.
