The Events of Events, a nonprofit organization launched to better understand the UK’s events industry, has expanded its UK school engagement programme with the launch of its current largest region, the London Hub.
This lies behind the recent expansion of the program in the Northwest.
This program will help connect young people in the event industry. The initiative provides, among other things, a career pathway into the industry for younger generations. So far, the scheme has employed over 100,000 people on 400 school visits.
Justin Simons Obe, vice mayor of London’s culture and creative industry, spoke about why its expansion into London is important.
“The London Hub is a great way to help thousands of young people learn more about the opportunities available in this exciting industry. As we all continue to build a better and equitable London for everyone, it’s important to cultivate the next generation of leaders and creators.”
Pip Ridgway, managing director of Neg Earth Lights, added: “We perfectly fit our commitment to empowering the next generation to participate in London school programmes and gain knowledge of the production industry for ages 11-17. We provide young people with a valuable opportunity to better understand opportunities in this dynamic industry.
