The power of the event has announced the expansion of the UK school engagement programme with the launch of the Northwest Hub.
This initiative connects thousands of young people with the dynamic world of events, providing insights, inspiration and career pathways into the industry.
Ambassador registration is currently live on the school’s engagement program portal, and industry experts in the region are invited to sign up and support the next generation of talent by volunteering for about an hour on the initiative.
The first wave of school engagements begins in early May with the goal of reaching 30,000 young people in the first year.
Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham said, “The event industry is an important part of our region’s economy, culture and identity.”
He added: “The launch of the Northwest Hub for Event School Engagement Programme is an exciting step to bringing together the rich opportunities of this dynamic sector and youth. By inspiring the next generation, we ensure that Greater Manchester continues to lead the way in events and live experiences.”
To launch the initiative, the power of the event will invite all local ambassadors and industry experts to an exclusive launch reception at the end of the Production Futures event held at the AO Arena in Manchester on April 28th.
This event offers the opportunity to learn more about the program and network with fellow ambassadors and sponsors.
