The Together Group, a group of technology and creative companies in the luxury sector, has acquired OBO, an experiential institution. Since 2021, Group has acquired 14 companies.

Paris-based Obo has produced some of the most iconic events in the fashion and entertainment industry, including the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris and the L’Oreal Paris, Victoria’s Secret and Ellie Saab show.

The OBO was founded in 2000 by René Célestin. René Célestin previously served as creative director of Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for 12 years. OBO specializes in “immersive brand experiences” for high-end clients. Its portfolio includes names such as Armani, Saint Laurent, Bulgari, and Celine. Celestin remains as CEO after acquisition.

“Platform for the Experience Economy”

The US Olympic team looked at onlookers during the opening ceremony on July 26th as a boat cruise along the Seine.

The group’s long-term vision is to build a “platform for an experiential economy” and help brands move from products to immersive storytelling.

The group is based in London and run by CEO Christian Kurtzke. Kurtzke is an experienced CEO. In the past, he led luxury brands such as the luxury division of automaker Porsche, Porsche Design and heritage porcelain brand Meissen.
