The US president has repeatedly threatened to unleash airstrikes targeting Iranian programs if the deal is not reached.

US President Donald Trump says Iran has a government proposal on a rapidly moving forward nuclear program as negotiations continue between the two countries.

Trump was aboard Air Force 1 on Friday as he ended his trip to the United Arab Emirates. This is the first time he has allowed him to send a proposal to Tehran after multiple negotiations between US Middle Eastern envoy Steve Witkov and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araguchi.

“We are in very serious negotiations with Iran for long-term peace,” Trump told journalists when asked about the proposal.

“We’re not going to make nuclear dust in Iran. I think we’re approaching trading without doing this,” he said.

“But the most important thing is, they know they have to move quickly, or something bad happens.”

On Thursday, Aragut spoke to journalists at the Tehran International Book Fair, saying Iran has not yet received a proposal from the US.

Araguchi also criticized what he called a contradictory and inconsistent statement from the Trump administration, explaining either signs of Washington’s disruption or a calculated negotiation strategy.

Witkov at one point suggested that Iran could enrich uranium at 3.67%, and then said that all Iranian enrichment must cease.

“We’ve heard a lot of contradictory statements from Washington, from the President and from the new administration, from the United States,” Araguchi said.

“Sometimes, you hear two or three different positions in a day.”

Iranian and American officials met in Oman and Rome in Oman and Rome for negotiations mediated by Foreign Minister Badr Al Busadi, a trusted interlocutor between the two countries.

The talks are seeking to limit Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for lifting some of the destructive economic sanctions the US has imposed on the Islamic Republic.

Trump previously threatened to launch an attack targeting Iran’s nuclear program if it failed to reach a deal.

Some Iranian officials have warned that Tehran could concentrate its uranium stockpile to near-arms-grade levels to pursue nuclear weapons.

Iranian officials met British, French and German officials in Istanbul on Friday in a separate area to discuss nuclear negotiations with Washington.

Iranian Foreign Minister Qasem Galibabadi, who attended the talks in Türkiye City, said in a post from X:

Gharibabadi added that if necessary, Tehran will meet with the 2015 nuclear deal European party (the 2015 nuclear deal European party) along with China, Russia and the US after several meetings since last year.

Trump effectively sprinted through torpedoes during his first term by unilaterally abandoning it in 2018, re-imagining sanctions on Iran’s banking sector and oil exports.

A year later, Iran responded by rolling back its own commitments under the contract, providing relief from sanctions in return for non-surveillance restrictions on Iran’s nuclear activity.
