WASHINGTON (AP) – Schools, universities and states requiring students to be vaccinated against Covid-19 may risk losing federal money based on a White House order signed Friday Can’t President Donald Trump.

Covid-19 vaccine orders have been removed primarily at schools and universities across the United States, and many states have passed laws prohibiting such orders, so the orders are expected to have little national impact. It’s been done.

The order tells Education Department Ministry of Health, Welfare and Welfare to develop a plan to end Covid-19 vaccine mandate. The money that the plan will use as leverage is not clear. Most federal education money is ordered by Congress.

It aims to fulfill the campaign promises from Trump. Trump often said, “I wouldn’t give a penny to a school that has a vaccine order.”

This order applies only to Covid-19 vaccines. All states have laws that require school children to be equivalent to certain illnesses such as measles, mumps, polio, tetanus, whooping cough and chicken pox.

All US states allow exemptions for children with medical conditions that prevent them from ingesting certain vaccines. They also mostly allow exemptions for religious or other non-medical reasons.

Some universities have begun to require students to be vaccinated against Covid-19 during the pandemic, but most have removed the requirements. Some people at least need the vaccine for students living on campuses, including Swarthmore and Overlin College. Most of these universities allow medical or religious exemptions.

Statewide student vaccine orders were rare. California had planned to add Covid-19 to its list of vaccines needed by K-12 students, but it had not been enacted and was dropped later. Illinois had a requirement for university students, but it was lifted about a year later.
