The Oleksandr Usyk-Daniel Dubois Rematch for the indisputable heavyweight world championships is officially scheduled.
World heavyweight champions Olexandre Usaik and Daniel Dubois will compete for an incontroversial title at Wembley Stadium in London on July 19, Frank Warren’s Queensbury Promotion said.
Undefeated Ukrainian USYK holds the WBC, WBA and WBO belts and wants to become the four-belt, non-discussed heavyweight champion while Briton Dubois is the IBF owner.
Usyk previously faced Dubois and won the controversial nine-round knockout victory at Wroclaw, Poland in August 2023.
That fight was for the WBA, IBF and WBO belts before becoming an indisputable champion when USYK defeated British Tyson Fury in May 2024.
The 38-year-old Ukrainian opened his IBF belt last year. Before his rematch with Fury in December, Dubois was upgraded to champions and defended the title against his compatriot Anthony Joshua last September.
Usyk, who has a record of 23-0, said in a statement released Sunday, “I am grateful to God for the opportunity to fight again for the incontroversial championship.” “Daniel, thank you for taking care of my IBF belt. Now I want to get it back.”
DuBois, 27, was looking forward to taking his revenge.
“I won the first fight and should have been rejected by the judge’s decision, so this time I wouldn’t make a mistake in front of the people at National Stadium in my hometown,” he said.
“I am currently a great and dangerous fighter, and Usyk will find this for himself on July 19th.”
The fight, broadcast live on Dazn around the world and sponsored by Saudi Riyadh season, is the first time that an incontroversial heavyweight contest has been held in British soil.
Lennox Lewis was the last UK uncontroversial world heavyweight champion in 1999.
