Walk for Wellbeing, the annual fundraising event for UK Charity Hospitality Action, added five more UK cities to its initiative in its sixth year.

Hospitality talent and recruitment partner moms will work with Caterer.com and Imperial London Hotels to bring Cornwall, Edinburgh, Leeds, Newcastle and York to the event this year, bringing the total number of host cities to 13.

Since its founding in 2020, Walk for Wellbeing has evolved from a small gathering to a national initiative, bringing together hundreds of hospitality experts in the industry.

In October, a 13-20km host walk will take place in major UK locations. York will host its first walk on Sunday, October 12th, followed by Newcastle on Sunday, October 19th, with walks in Bath, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Cornwall, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London and Manchester.

For those who are unable to attend a walk in the city, Walk It Your Way runs from World Mental Health Day on Friday, October 10th and Sunday, October 26th, allowing participants to walk anytime, anywhere.

I’ll hand over the torch

Mama Founder and Director Craig Prentiss presented the brand to Hospitality Action five years after he devoted himself to making and growing walks for the welfare of a nationwide call for action.

Craig will continue to be closely involved as the initiative’s strategic advisor, steer and spokesman, while Mama will continue as the lead partner and host of the London Walk.

Craig Prentice, creator of Walk for Wellbeing, said:

“We’re looking forward to seeing you in the future,” said Mark Lewis, CEO of Hospitality Action. “With the number of cities increasing this year, we are excited to see the event grow even further, continue what Craig started, and ensure the opportunity to bring more hospitality experts from the UK into the community and make a real difference.”
