The US President’s controversial proposal has attracted global attention.

President Donald Trump made headlines after returning to the White House.

He appears to enjoy the opportunity to perform, anger and, perhaps most importantly, control the media narrative.

Whether it suggests Canada will become America’s 51st state, whether it plans to rename the Gulf of Mexico or threaten Greenland’s military takeover, Trump dominates international news.

However, the White House had to return many of his statements.

So can Trump’s administration maintain the fierce speed at which he is announcing change? And what are the dangers in perpetuating this ruthless shock and way media strategy?

Presenter:

Elizabeth Pranham

guest:

Alex Isenstadt – Senior Political Reporter at Axios covering Trump White House and Republicans

Peter Oborne – Columnist of the author of the Middle Eastern Eye and Trump’s Thoughts
