Spotify is introducing a new feature that lets users follow venues and get updates and details about upcoming concerts there.

Venues you follow are saved to your library and can be referenced for event calendars, upcoming concert information, and announcements. Users can also filter upcoming shows at the venue by genre.

The company also updates its live event feed daily instead of weekly to provide the latest event updates.

As before, users can tap on an upcoming show to book tickets through the listed ticketing partners. Spotify experimented with selling tickets itself in 2022, but hasn’t talked about expanding that business since. Instead of selling tickets directly from artist pages, the company is now partnering with ticketing platforms like Live Nation and Ticketmaster.

Earlier this year, the company released a new weekly updated playlist called “Concerts Near You.” This playlist lists 30 songs from artists playing near your location, along with details of upcoming shows.

Spotify’s rivals are also focusing on improving discovery of live events on their platforms. In February, SoundCloud partnered with Ticketmaster and Live Nation to allow artists to list upcoming shows on their pages.
