Zendaya gets $35 vintage Spider-Man T-shirt in Paris

Zendaya hit the red carpet at the Spider-Man: Brand New Day fan event in Paris on Wednesday wearing a retro Marvel T-shirt embossed with the popular comic book character.

The Emmy Award-winning “Euphoria” star’s look put a new spin on her signature method dressing style throughout her “Brand New Day” promotional tour. Zendaya’s longtime collaborator and stylist Law Roach sourced the men’s oversized T-shirts from eBay and shared the price of the vintage Mad Engine graphic print piece via his Instagram Stories.

“Style doesn’t have to be expensive,” Roach wrote, tagging the global commerce leader and revealing that the item costs $35. Considering the men’s T-shirt’s 2XL size, this item fit Zendaya like a minidress.

The short sleeves hit the actress’ elbows, and the hemline creates a mini-dress look. In addition to a vintage T-shirt, Zendaya wore white pointed-toe Christian Louboutin pumps, an iconic part of the actress’ wardrobe.

As for accessories, Zendaya wore dangling silver earrings and added a coordinating silver watch to complete her overall look. Glamorous highlights included the actress’ curly “vixie” hair, while her makeup included bold eyebrows, lined eyes, and glossy lips.

Zendaya’s last few Spider-Man: Brand New Day press tour looks have gravitated toward vintage finds and retro runway looks. Ahead of Wednesday’s Paris fan event, the actress wore a dress featuring a crystallized spider web motif from the late Giorgio Armani’s spring 1990 ready-to-wear collection to the film’s Rome premiere on Tuesday night.

Method dressing, with a wardrobe that evokes the spirit and aesthetic qualities of movies and TV series, is a foundational quality of Zendaya’s red carpet wardrobe. Not only has the actress channeled Spider-Man in her recent looks, but her red carpet attire for the Challengers and Dune series has also been well-documented.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day follows Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, as he travels through a completely forgotten world and fights a new enemy that threatens the people he loves. The film will be released in theaters on July 31st.
