Nashville, Tennessee (AP) – Nashville High School Students A fatal shooting of a classmate According to a juvenile court file obtained through an open record request, he was on probation after threatening a student with a box cutter several months ago before committing suicide in January.

Solomon HendersonHe was 17 at the time, but was charged with recklessly putting his weapon in danger after the conflict on October 24, 2024, and carrying the weapon to school property.

The victim said she was walking to lunch with the group when she told Solomon “just a second.” When he didn’t respond, she said “Hey” again. The black Solomon told her to turn around and run away, and called her an n-ward, the victim told police. He pulled out the box cutter from his pocket and sat walking to the cafeteria table before exposing the blade.

When the administrator confronted Solomon, “He was upset that I was going to cut out anyone walking on him,” according to court filings. He also said he believes the victim and her friends will jump over him. As part of his probation, he was not permitted to own a gun.

Solomon’s juvenile record also includes accusations from November 2023 when he was 16 years old to download and distribute sexual images of minors. This record does not indicate the age of the minor in the image. In that case, he was released by his parents on strict conditions, including using social media, cell phones, the Internet or computers, except for school work.

Juvenile Court records were not available to the public in Tennessee until recently. Citing his desire to learn more about the history of shootings and shooters at Antioch High School, Tennessee lawmakers passed a bill this year that would ensure that someone’s juvenile court records are published if they commit murder and die on school grounds.

Records released in the Associated Press on Friday show that Solomon was given a judicial diversion after being arrested for swinging a box cutter around. Court documents from the day after the incident showed that he had not been in contact with the victim and that his mother had planned to homeschool him.

It is unclear exactly when he returned to Antioch High School, but on January 22, Solomon shot and killed 16-year-old Hispanic Jocelyn Korean Escalante in the school cafeteria. Another student, who was grazing by a bullet, was treated from the hospital on the same day and released.

Police said Henderson fired 10 shots from the 9mm pistol within 17 seconds of entering the cafeteria. The pistol had nine rounds when it was retrieved by police. The gun was purchased by someone in Arizona in 2022 and has not been reportedly stolen, police said. The origins of the guns are still under investigation.

The name of the victim in the Box Cutter incident has been compiled from the juvenile’s records, but police previously said they could not establish a relationship between Solomon and the victim of the shooting. They said the shooting could have been random.

Shortly after filming, anti-hate analysts quickly identified dozens of pages believed to have come from Henderson. We are seeking violence and racist commentsexpressions of shame that he is black, including neo-Nazi and white supremacist ideology, praise certain people who have made famous gunfires. The book also includes plans for shooting at school, but does not call Escalante a target.

Police and the FBI are investigating two documents, which are combined with over 300 pages of total, believed to have been created by Henderson.

“It’s clear that Henderson was heavily influenced by web-based materials,” particularly on “non-traditional sites that most find harmful and offensive.”
