BOSTON (AP) – A federal judge on Thursday extended an order blocking the Trump administration’s attempt to ban Harvard University Foreign student registration.

US District Judge Alison Burrows granted Harvard’s request for a temporary injunction and blocked government action until the case was decided. It had already been suspended since last week when Burrows issued a temporary restraining order.

Harvard sued the Department of Homeland Security on Friday after revoking its ability to host international students on a campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

On Wednesday, the Trump administration announced a new initiative to revoke Harvard’s accreditation to enroll international students. In a letter sent by Todd Lyons, the proxy immigration and customs executive director, the government gave Harvard University for 30 days to respond to the basis for the withdrawal, including accusations that Harvard had coordinated with foreign organizations and failed to adequately respond to anti-feeling on campus.
