Lariga League leader Barcelona will be held at home by the real Betis after Madrid is beaten by Valencia.
Barcelona was held at home in a 1-1 draw by Real Betis as Spanish Lariga leaders failed to fully utilize Real Madrid’s shocking defeat earlier in the day.
The defending champions were beaten 2-1 in the Spanish capital on Saturday, with Valencia’s first victory of the season.
The shocking result for Madrid was that a few hours later, Hansiflic’s side extended the lead to only four points, softening as both teams played 30 games.
There are eight rounds left in the Lariga season, including the Classico in May.
In Lariga’s hottest team matchup, Betis levelled up and withstanded the second half onslaught at Barcelona.
Gavi Paes excavated the low-strike home after giving Barcelona a seven-minute lead after a lovely set-up by Ferran Torres.

Betis, the fifth place, laying Natan’s header 10 minutes later, with goalkeeper Adrian San Miguel and former Barcelona defender Mark Bartra splitting the points by looking back at a ton of shots by the host.
“It’s obviously we’ll go even further if we win, but this is football,” Gavi said of missing out on the opportunity to clear six points. “We had a chance, but we couldn’t leave with the bitter taste changed in our mouths.”
The real manager Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that following Valencia’s defeat, their title defense is now under severe pressure.
The Italian added that his players will not give up on their Lariga aspirations.
“It’s much more difficult to fight for the league now, but we only have one idea. We have a chance after this game, so we’re going to fight to the end,” Ancelotti said.
Barcelona will host Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday, while Real Madrid will face Arsenal on Tuesday.
Also, in Lariga on Saturday, Celta Vigo won Mallorca 2-1, while the Alleves won Girona 1-0.
