After former Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger won a more than 40-year career at a semiconductor giant in December, many wondered where Gelsinger would go next. On Thursday, the former Intel CEO revealed one of the next chapters. AI models are trying to support humanity in the thriving way.

Working with the “faith technology” company he first invested in about a decade ago, called Gloo, Gelsinger launched a new benchmark (the prosperity of AI or FAI) to test how well the AI model fits with the values of a particular human being. The FAI Benchmark is based on the Global Prosperity Research, a survey directed by Harvard and Baylor University, to measure the well-being of humans around the world.

Gloo took six core categories from the study. I added another one of faith and spirituality to test LLMS, including personality and virtue, close social relationships, happiness and life satisfaction, meaning and purpose, mental and physical health, economic and material stability.

In an interview with The New Stack, Gelsinger said, “I lived at the intersection of Faith Tech throughout my entire life.”
