The Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) has also warned that if Israel attacks Tehran, it will receive a “devastating and decisive response.”
The Israeli Foreign Minister warned that Iran’s foreign minister warned that after Israel reported that Israel was preparing to strike.
Israel’s closest allies, Iran and the United States, will hold a fifth-round nuclear talks on Friday. Amid deep differences of opinion about Iran’s uranium enrichment, Washington says it could lead to the development of a nuclear bomb.
Tehran consistently denied seeking bombs, claiming that its nuclear program was a civilian purpose.
“Iran will strongly warn against the adventurism of the Israeli Zionist regime and will respond decisively to any threat or illegal activities by this regime,” Foreign Minister Abbas Aragut in a letter to Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
“I have called on the international community to take effective precautions against the continued Israeli threat, which has forced Iran to take special measures to defend nuclear facilities and materials, if checked,” Araguchi said.
The minister said Tehran would view Washington as a “participant” in such an attack.
“The nature, content and scope of our actions are proportional to the precautions taken by these international organizations in accordance with their statutory duties and duties,” he added.
Araghchi’s remarks followed Tuesday’s CNN report that the US “has new information suggesting that Israel is preparing to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.”
Israel has not acknowledged its preparation, but officials up to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have repeatedly threatened to attack Iran’s nuclear sites if they choose to pursue nuclear weapons.
The US and Iran will hold indirect talks in Rome, their fifth round of negotiations on deals that could be seen or ended, in exchange for lifting sanctions.
Israel has repeatedly opposed such an agreement between the US and Iran.
Separately, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) reported directly to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, warning that if Israel attacks Iran it will receive a “devastating and decisive response.”
“They are trying to scare us in war, but they are miscalculating it because they are unaware of the powerful popularity and military support that the Islamic Republic can convened in a war situation,” IRGC spokesman Alimohammad Naini was quoted as saying by state media.
On Tuesday, Khamenei said it was demanding that the US stop Tehran from concentrating.
