It appears that Meta hasn’t finished poaching talent from open alleys.

Earlier this week, TechCrunch reported that Meta had hired influential Openai researcher Trapit Bansal, and according to the Wall Street Journal, he also hired three other researchers from the company.

Currently, the information reports four more meta recruitment from Openai. Researchers Shengjia Zhao, Jiahui Yu, Shuchao Bi, Hongyu Ren.

The employment comes after the launch of Meta’s Llama 4 AI model in April. (The company was also criticized for the version of the llama that it used in its popular benchmark.)

There has been some kind of interaction between the two companies, with Openai CEO Sam Altman adding that Meta has “no one of our best people so far.” Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth told employees that senior leaders may have been offered such money, but “actual terms of the offer” were more complicated than a simple one-off signature bonus.
