Russia and Ukraine appeared to have stopped targeting each other’s energy infrastructure this week, but details of the agreement reached on Sunday were still being resolved.
“From this date, we can see that there have been no attacks on energy objects since March 25th. There have also been no attacks on Russian energy objects or attacks on Russian energy objects.”
When reaching a partial ceasefire agreement, the US appeared to have abandoned the comprehensive ceasefire proposal it agreed with Ukraine on March 11.
Russian President Vladimir Putin refused in a call with President Donald Trump a week later, and instead negotiated a vaguely defined ceasefire on energy and infrastructure that Ukraine was not a party.
The US carried Ukraine along with a small agreement in Jeddah after traveling between Ukraine and Russian negotiation teams.
Ukrainian President Voldimia Zelenki said on Sunday evening that “a ceasefire in the energy sector can begin today.”
Russia previously accused Ukraine of violating the ceasefire.
“Despite Zelensky’s official statement… [Kyiv] The regime continued to attack on the energy infrastructure of the Russian Federation,” the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
Ukraine accused them of launching two attack drones through Crimea on Wednesday night, targeting underground gas storage facilities, and fired another drone against high-tensile power lines in the Russian regions of Briansk and Kursk, causing a cascade of blackouts.
Ukrainian military general staff denied these attacks.
“The military department of the invaders is spreading false and unfounded accusations to extend the war,” they said.

Russia has been carrying out diplomatic message attacks over the past 10 days, accusing Ukraine of violating a ceasefire that it had not agreed to.
On Friday, Ukraine accused Skascha gas measurement site in Russia’s Kursk region.
Ukrainian general staff said Suda was “shotted by the Russians themselves” in a “discretionary campaign in Ukraine.”

The EU and the US are far apart due to ceasefire conditions

Zelenskyy denied that the US and Ukrainian teams agreed to access the Russian grain and fertilizer market.
“I believe this is a weakening of position and a easing sanctions,” Zelensky told reporters in Kiev on Tuesday. “This wasn’t our agenda.”
The European Union has agreed to Zelenskyy.
The Council of Europe, 27 EU leaders, said on March 20, “We are ready to intensify pressure on Russia to undermine our ability to continue the war of aggression by strengthening enforcement of existing measures through further sanctions.”
The $300 million in Russian central bank assets remain frozen “until Russia ceases its war of aggression against Ukraine and makes up for the damage caused.”
Anitta Hipper, a spokesman for the European Commission’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reinforced its message on Wednesday, saying the EU would consider lifting sanctions if Russia ends “unprovoked aggression” and unconditionally withdraws it.
Earth situation
Meanwhile, Ukraine continued its own retention against the ongoing Russian attacks throughout the week, continuing to focus on the eastern Donetsk region of Ukraine.
Viktor Tregubov, a spokesman for the Khortytsia Operational Group of Ukrainian ground forces, told Teleson while Russian troops were weakening while Russian attacks in Pokrovsk intensified.
