Over the past few years, Samsung has been releasing two foldable phones at unpacked events. However, this year, the company added a cheaper model, the Z flip7 Fe, to its lineup. This will show a flip7 where Z flip7 draws a foldable flag for a Korean hardware giant will be collapsed.
Samsung has tried to thin the phone again, but the new model is thinner than last year’s iteration.
The company has also updated its prices. The new Z Fold7 costs $100 more than the Z Fold6 and sells at a starting price of $1,999. Samsung has not raised the $1,100 starting price for the new Z-Flipline model.
The New Z Flip7 FE priced at $899, attracting people looking for a new form factor under the $1,000 price mark.

Samsung’s new foldable flagship, the Z Fold7, is a little lighter than its predecessor, with a measuring scale of 218 grams to top (compared to the Fold6’s 239 grams). The 12.1 mm girth of the Fold6 also becomes considerably thinner when folded, at 8.9 mm measurements.
The Fold7’s cover screen is also large, and it currently has a dynamic 6.5-inch AMOLED 2x display, but the main screen is 8 inches when unfolded. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 elite processor.

Samsung claims that by incorporating a rebuilt hinge and hinge housing, it made the phone more durable. Its display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2.
The company currently uses a 200 megapixel main camera with an AF/1.7 aperture compared to last year’s model 50 megapixel camera.

Samsung has added AI Powers to its photo editing software. You now get the Photo Assist feature that moves, erases, or zooms in on objects and automatically adjusts the angle. It also uses the generated AI to fill in empty spaces in your photos. The Edit Suite allows users to view edited and original photos side by side.

Like its larger brother, the Z Flip7 is also thinner this year and comes with a larger cover screen (a 4.1-inch Super Amo Red display) and an enlarged main display (6.9-inch). Samsung uses the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for protection on both the cover and the back.
The company packs a 4,300 MAH battery for the Z Flip7. This is the biggest ever in the Flip series. Unlike the Fold7, which uses Qualcomm’s 3nm chip, the Flip7 gets a 3nm Exynos2500 chip created by Samsung itself.
At first glance, the Z Flip7 Fe looks like the reincarnation of the Z Flip6. It features a 4,000mAh battery, a 3.4-inch cover screen, a 6.7-inch main screen and an Exynos2400 processor.
Samsung is adding Dex support to the Flip series for the first time, so you can connect your phone to a monitor and use a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to get a workstation-like experience.
The new phone comes with a cover screen similar to iOS’s live activity, with a new feature called Now Bar. The Now Bar shows real-time activity, including podcast progress and streaming status.
Another feature called Now Brief provides a summary of traffic, reminders, events and fitness insights. You can also get music and video recommendations based on your existing subscription.
Google Features
Samsung added Gemini Live support to the Z Flip7 cover screen, allowing users to use the assistant without deploying the phone. It is also integrated with Samsung Notes.
All new Z-Flip and Z-Fold Phones receive support for Gemini Live’s camera and video AI features. This allows users to take photos and videos and ask questions about AI bots.
New Samsung devices also get an upgraded version of Google’s Assistant. This has an AI mode for Q&A style conversation.
