Tro, an experiential marketing agency, was appointed by folding Brompton bike makers to hold the Brompton World Championships in London this summer in a milestone year marking the brand’s 50th anniversary.

The participatory event, which will be held at the Kings Cross Coal Dropyards from June 20th to 22nd, will bring together over 500 Brompton riders and compete in a series of races around the city’s streets, creating a fun and flavourful atmosphere of celebration for 50,000 spectators. The event will sit alongside Via Criterium as part of the London Cycling Festival.

Tro is a hub for Brompton communities to bring together through a variety of experiences that embody the spirit of the brand of fun, inclusivity and adventure.

Flagship events will also explore the brand’s legacy, offer limited edition anniversary items, and preview new products. The ride and experience of the community is set up to extend activation beyond the festival.

“We’re committed to providing a range of services to our customers,” said Chris Booker, new Director of Business and Marketing at Tro. “We are delighted to work with such an iconic brand, a year of real milestones. The spirit of the community, inclusiveness and fun can’t wait to bring together Brompton fans to promise to be a special event.”

Chris Willingham, global marketing director at Brompton, added:
