The Russian President has proposed that Ukraine be placed under a “temporary regime” of the United Nations as part of the peace agreement.

Russian state media said Russian President Vladimir Putin could be placed under a “temporary regime” as part of a peace process that includes help from North Korea and other Moscow allies.

According to TAS, a Russian provincial news agency, Putin spoke with a group of military personnel in the northern port of Murmansk in Russia and submitted several provisions for the peace process to end the three-year war that Moscow began in February 2022.

Among Putin’s many proposals was a call for a new election in Ukraine and a “signature of a key agreement” that the country is under an international regime, Tas said.

“In principle, of course, in Ukraine, a temporary regime could be introduced under the sponsorship of the United Nations, the US, European countries and our partners,” Putin was quoted as saying.

“This is to hold democratic elections, empower a competent government that enjoys the trust of the people, and start talking to them about the peace treaty,” Putin said.

“We will resolve all these problems through peaceful means,” he said. “But by removing the original cause that caused the current situation,” he added.

Putin also said other countries, including allies in the Moscow treaty, should be involved in peace processes other than the US and Russia.

“This is not only the US, but also the People’s Republic of China, India, Brazil, South Africa, all BRICS countries,” Putin said.

“And many other people, including, for example, the Democratic Republic of South Korea,” he said, using the official North Korean name.

According to South Korean military, Pyongyang has dispatched more than 3,000 new troops to join the Russian troops fighting in Ukraine, and last year it was the top of 11,000 sent 11,000 of which the victims have been reported to be devastating in the battle with Ukrainian forces.

Putin also said, “We are ready to work with Europe, but “inconsistent and constantly trying to fool us.”

“But it’s okay, we’re already used to it. We hope we don’t make any mistakes based on the overly trusting our so-called partner,” he said.

The praise was reserved for US President Donald Trump, who said the Russian leader “he sincerely hopes for an end to this conflict.”

Putin’s comments follow separate negotiations this week between Russian, Ukrainians and US authorities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the aim of securing a temporary ceasefire.

According to the US, Kiev and Moscow have agreed to halt military strikes on Black Sea vessels, but since then they have accused each other of not taking peace talks seriously.

Following the contract, Ukraine accused Russia of launching an overnight drone attack in Mikolife city. Ukrainian President Voldymir Zelenki said, “It’s a clear signal that Moscow will not pursue real peace.”

Russia has accused Ukraine of carrying out drone attacks on gas storage facilities and power facilities on Russia’s territory, violating the agreement not to attack each other’s electricity facilities.

Russian media said the second talks will be in Riyadh in mid-April.
