The Associated Press confirmed footage from sources from Ukrainian and Russian depicting four soldiers.

According to a human rights committee member of the Ukrainian parliament, Ukraine has launched a war crime investigation into allegedly killing four soldiers captured by Russian forces.

Dmytro Lubinets wrote to X on Thursday that they had no weapons as four prisoners left the destroyed building “their hands were raised.”

“They were shot dead on the spot. This is a clear violation of the Geneva Convention and serious war crimes,” he added.

According to the Associated Press Agency, it is believed to have occurred on March 13th in the village of Piaticatoky in southern Ukraine on March 13th.

A Ukrainian drone video taken by the 128th Mountain Assault Brigade, obtained from European military officials on condition of anonymity, shows soldiers who raised their weapons and shot each of the four Ukrainians in the back.

In the Russian drone video where the AP is located on Prokremlin’s social media, the footage is suddenly cut off with soldiers allegedly lying on living ground.

This footage came just before Russia planted the flag in Piathitky, in the Zaporidia region.

It also happened as European officials told the Associated Press that US representatives had landed in Moscow for a meeting with President Vladimir Putin.

Call for international research

Lubinets wrote in Telegram that for investigation, he will report alleged murder of his army to the Red Cross and the International Commission of the United Nations.

“These organizations need to record crimes. We emphasize that such shootings are not isolated cases, but rather systematic policies of the Russian Federation, which are encouraged at the highest level!” he wrote.

“Therefore, it is necessary to not only document such cases, but also to thoroughly investigate them and bring the offenders to justice,” Rubinets added.

He also asked Ukrainians who witnessed human rights abuses by the Russian military to report them to the police.
