Russia laughs at Ukraine during in-person meetings and raises malice suspicions | News of the Russian-Ukraine War

Russia questioned Ukraine’s sovereignty and undermined the president’s authority as the two countries engaged in the first in-person meeting since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Ukrainian President Voldy Mie Zelensky arrived in Istanbul on May 15th for consultations proposed by his Russian counterparts a few days ago. He was accompanied by his foreigners and the Minister of Defense.

However, Russian President Vladimir Putin did not appear, nor did the members of the cabinet appear. He was never given the authority to sign a ceasefire.

But with sour sounds, Russia casts ass veneration at the legitimacy of the Ukrainian team.

“The delegation is waiting for the clown to speak up. The hallucinogens wear out and he will eventually allow people to sit at the table, who he has banned negotiations for three years,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakhalova writes about social media, noting that he has in-depth discussions on Zelenkie.

“We have analyzed Ukrainian laws, and we understand that Zelensky’s authority as a legal leader of the country has expired,” said Rodion Miloshnik, the chief negotiator of Russia, which stated that May 16th was the day of the meeting.

He had mentioned the fact that Zelensky did not hold the presidential election last year. The Ukrainian Constitution allowed Zelensky to remain in office at the time of the national crisis, and the Ukrainian Parliament extended Zelensky’s term until the end of martial law. However, Russian officials have used the extension to portray Zelensky as illegal.

“There is a possibility that the risk of reaching a contract, reaching a signed contract and being signed could be denied,” Miloshnik said.

“The most important and fundamental thing for us to accurately sign these documents on the Ukrainian side was Dmitry Peskov, Dmitry Peskov, the day after consultation.

However, Russia’s stance sparked suspicion that Moscow was ultimately laying the foundation to smile from any agreement.

“This rhetorical campaign is part of an effort to set conditions for Russia to withdraw from future peace agreements at the time of its choice,” writes the War Institute, a Washington-based think tank.

What both parties proposed

After Ukraine proposed a ceasefire, it held a meeting between Zelensky and Putin.

Russia rejected both requests and instead proposed an exchange of 1,000 prisoners of war from each side, then submitted a written ceasefire proposal.

Vladimir Medinsky, assistant vice president Putin, who is a member of the negotiation team, said:

Meanwhile, the war continues – in its favor, Russia believes.

During discussions, Russian forces launched attacks near Pokrovsk and Torretsk in eastern Ukraine, capturing several grasses.

On Saturday night, Russia unleashed 273 drones in a Ukrainian city. This is the biggest barrage of war.

And on Monday, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed it had acquired two settlements.

Moscow responded to Kiev’s request for a ceasefire by insisting on no prerequisite consultations, but reportedly requested them on Friday.

A source familiar with the lawsuit told Bloomberg that the Russian delegation had requested a priori recognition that the four Russian states were partially occupied by Luhansk, Donetsk, Zapolizia and Herson.

Dmitry Medvedev, vice-chairman of the Russian Security Council, argued that the four regions that Russia invaded in 2022 were Russian by law.

“They first declared the subject of international law following the referendum, then spoke to us at the request of their accession to the Russian Federation. So, from an international law perspective, everything is fine here.”

Russia appeared to be trying to set another prerequisite for the second round of talks. This should involve agreement on Ukraine’s non-aligned status, International Commission Committee Head Leonid Suratsky told Prokremlin’s Newswire TASS on Tuesday.

The surrender and neutrality of four regions – an agreement that never joins the European Union with the NATO – is one of the conditions set by President Putin in his speech last June.

As the delegation resumed consultations on Monday, Zakharova confirmed that they still constituted Russia’s targets.

Is Trump an effective negotiator?

Putin outlined the next steps after speaking on Monday with US President Donald Trump.

“Russia is ready and will continue to work with the Ukrainian side in memorandums on potential future peace treaties that outline many positions, such as the principles of reconciliation, the time frame for signing a potential peace agreement.

The next day, Putin called the Ukrainian Neonagis for destroying the World War II memorial, “doubtless” and “doubt” “in the idiot” “in the first place in the idiot battle”, and visited the Kursk border area for the first time since Russian forces regained it following the anti-invasion of Ukraine.

Trump urged Putin to meet with Zelensky.

Peskov downplayed demand and said he “exposed the issue of direct contact.”

“It is important that America continues to rely on the process of bringing peace closer. It is America that Russia fears, and it is the American influence that can save many lives if Putin is used as leverage to end the war,” Zelensky said in a speech Tuesday evening.

However, others suspected that Trump’s negotiation tactics would have a positive outcome for Ukraine.

Former US ambassador Kiev Bridget Brink explained on Monday why she resigned from her post last month.

“I have resigned from Ukraine and also from foreign services. [Trump] Management is to put pressure on the victims Ukraine, not on Russia, the invaders,” she told CBS’s face. It’s soothing. And as we know from history, mitigating only leads to more wars. ”

Europe, Canada and Australia are still held among Ukrainian allies in favour of a more stringent boundary against Russia.

The 17th EU sanctions package came into effect Monday, limiting the movement of 189 tankers believed to be smuggling Russian oil, bringing the total to 342.
