The Championship, Wimbledon, will return for the 2026 edition. Numerous professional athletes compete for championship titles. Venus Williams is one of the returning players at London’s All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, competing in women’s doubles with her younger sister Serena, who is returning to the sport for the first time in almost four years.
Venus Williams has a long history in this tournament, winning the women’s singles title five times and the women’s doubles title six times. Since 1997, Williams has not only been an ace, but also shown off her tennis fashion acumen through variations on tennis white, the mandatory dress code at prestigious Grand Slam tournaments. WWD analyzes her Wimbledon form over the next few years.

Williams brought his partnership with Reebok to the fore when he made his Wimbledon debut in 1997 at just 17 years old. The athlete wore a white coordinating tennis outfit with black stripes on the shoulders and sides of the skirt. Although her tennis kit was not completely monochromatic, small doses of color, from logos to other small motifs, were and continue to be allowed in strict tournaments.

Williams’ 2007 Wimbledon outfit was outstanding. A coordinating shorts and criss-cross strap tank set designed by Reebok was adorned with emerald jewelry. The athlete won Wimbledon women’s singles in 2007, cementing her status as a four-time champion (she later defended it five times in 2008) and the first woman in tennis to win equal prize money at a top-level tournament. Barbie commemorated the August 2025 milestone with a Williams-inspired doll complete with tennis clothes and accessories.

At the 2010 edition of Wimbledon, where Williams reached the quarter-finals, she showcased her brand Eleven, which she founded in 2007. Williams wore a sleeveless tennis dress with plenty of feminine details. The tennis dress was designed with a bustier-inspired bust and lace bodice. At the hips, Williams’ kit transitioned into a layered fringe skirt for a more playful touch.

In 2018, Williams wore another design from her brand EleVen. The athlete wore a sleeveless monochrome white tennis dress with a plunging curvy V-shaped neckline. Using the curves of the dress as a motif, the top and skirt of the dress are expressed at an asymmetrical angle.
