Arsenal’s title hopes will suffer another injury to one of their forwards as Kai Herberts was ruled out for the rest of the season.

Arsenal confirmed that forward Kai Harberts missed the rest of the season after suffering a hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old German forward was injured during the club’s warm weather training camp in Dubai.

Arsenal issued a statement Thursday confirming the extent of his injuries.

“We can confirm that Kai Herberts suffered a hamstring injury during his training session last week in Dubai,” the club said.

“Subsequent evaluations and expert reviews confirm that the injury requires surgery, which will take place in the next few days.

“Suddenly after surgery, Kai will begin his recovery and rehabilitation program, which is expected to expand into preparations for next season.”

Arsenal, runner-up in the Premier League for the past two seasons, has fallen behind leader Liverpool in 14 games.

Manager Mikel Arteta is facing a major headache as gunners failed to enhance their offensive options during his recent transfer period.

Arsenal failed to sign Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa last month.

Havertz is set to lead the Arsenal line for the rest of the campaign, earning 15 in 32 appearances this season. He was the club’s main scorer in the Premier League with nine goals as the Gunners forward line almost failed to fire.

His final goal came in a 5-1 victory in defending Premier League champions Manchester City on February 2nd.

Gabriel Jesus is heading out into the season after suffering an earlier cruciate ligament injury last month.

Bukayosaka has been away since December, but it is expected that England International, who traveled to the Middle East with his teammates, will return next month.

Gabriel Martinelli faces a bystander spell after being expelled in the second leg semi-finals of Arsenal’s League Cup in Newcastle last week.

It leaves only gunners, Leandro Torosad, Raheem Sterling and Ethan Nwaneri as forward players. Gunners will take action next when they travel to Leicester City in the league on Saturday.
