The Event Venue Association (AEV) has become the latest organisation to join the All Party Parliament Group for Events (APPG) as a corporate member.

AEV is the seventh APPG corporate member and will be participating in Beam, SEC, Racoon Media Group, Experience Oxfordshire, Togather and Hire Association Europe.

AEV Director Rachel Parker said: “We are delighted to be able to join the All-Party Parliament Group for the event, a great opportunity to work with industry leaders and policy makers to raise awareness of Westminster’s UK events sector.

Chaired by Telford Council member Shaun Davies (pictured), the APPG currently has a total of 41 members, including 34 lawmakers. Communications Agency Davies Tanner is the business of event think tanks and advocacy networks, managing the APPG and acting as a special advisor to the group.

The first official APPG event for the new term will show that corporate members and other senior leaders will join members of Congress at a private dinner held in the House of Representatives on May 6, 2025. Other events are currently planned throughout the year, including the official launch of the APPG’s official parliamentary plan.

A spokesman for the APPG said, “As we continue to spread and reach the voices across Congress and Westminster, we are pleased to be able to join other corporate members in the AEV. It will help the event sector engage with lawmakers from a political perspective, develop stronger relationships and promote the likelihood of joining the APP. The industry agenda will move forward.”
