At least 500 Palestinian children have been killed in sustained Israeli air force attacks and artillery fire in Gaza since Israel breached a ceasefire with Hamas last month, said Mahmoud Bass, a spokesman for the Civil Defence of Gaza.

Meanwhile, the Israeli air attack in Gaza on Saturday killed at least six people, including children, bringing the death toll in the past 24 hours to more than 20. More than 1,500 people have been killed since Israel resumed fire in Gaza on March 18th.

The latest Israeli attack on Saturday killed two people, injured two children in Gaza’s Tafa district, and two people died in the Al-Atatra district of Beitrahiya in the northern part of Gaza.

Another Palestinian was killed in an Israeli drone attack in the Qizan an-Najjar region south of Khan Eunice.

Several casualties have been reported after an Israeli air attack at a civilian tent shelter in the Al Mawasi region west of Khan Eunice, where Israel designated a so-called “safe zone.”

Reporting outside Al Ahiri Hospital in Deia El Bara in central Gaza, Koudalie behind Al Jazeera reported that the newborn was falsely injured after the child’s family was attacked in the attack.

“She was in a very critical state with her arm being amputated and her death several hours later because her injuries were very critical and the doctors couldn’t help her situation,” she said. Deaths will result in six deaths early on Saturday.

Khoudary also reported that two forced evacuation orders have been issued at Shujayea and Khan Younis on Saturday.

“The Palestinians don’t know where to go.”

“We are here at Al-Aqsa Hospital. We observe the ambulances that come every day, and most of the targets, injuries and killed are women and children.

“As there is a shortage of medical supplies, most of these Palestinian children and women have witnessed a very worsening situation,” she added.

On Friday, Rabina Shamdasani, a spokesman for the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, reported that 36 of the 224 cases recorded Israeli strikes in Gaza from March 18 to April 9, including deaths that were only women and children.

In a statement, Palestinian rights group Al-Haq said the results of the UN survey further confirmed the patterns previously identified.

“This calculated effort to eradicate women, boys, girls and even babies has not been seen in other modern conflicts,” Alhak said in a social media post.

In an interview with the front of Al Jazeera, Chief Philip Lazarini of the United Nations Palestinian Refugee Agency (UNRWA) described the situation in Gaza as a “apocalyptic” murder zone.

Speaking at the Antalya Diplomatic Forum in Turkiye on Friday, Lazarini reiterated that Israel invaded Gaza invasion of food, fuel, medicine and other important humanitarian supplies, violating international law.

In another post on Saturday’s X, UNRWA Communications Director Juliette Touma warned that all basic consumables are “drained” in Gaza.

“That means babies, kids are going to sleep hungry.”

Israel has pledged to encourage military attacks. Recent authorities have outlined plans to seize new territory in southern Gaza and issue a series of forced evacuation orders.

Unrwa said that around 400,000 Palestinians have been forced to banish across Gaza since the ceasefire ended on March 18th. Since launching the war on October 7, 2023, Israel has forcibly expelled about 90% of Gaza’s 2.3 population.
