destructionBroken,

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has been shown in the course to form the next government.

Canada’s governing liberals won a national election ruled by President Donald Trump’s trade war and threats of annexation.

Prime Minister Mark Carney, 60, continues his top job after forecasts show his liberals on the course and won the most seats in the 343-member parliament.

It was not clear whether Carney, a career economist and banker who threw himself as a Canadian champion in the face of Trump’s threat, would need to form a majority government or rely on the support of small parties.

CBC forecasts show that the liberals were on the course by the Conservative Party, led by 45-year-old Pierre Polyeive, 45, to get at least 162 seats with at least 149 cases on track.

The results show a spectacular turn for liberals, recently taking over the conservatives in February on the ballot.

Poilliebre wanted to take advantage of former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s widespread unpopularity, but Trump’s return to the White House prompted a surge in Canadian patriotic sentiment and a galvanized voter of voters around the incumbent government.

After leading the vote for more than two years, the benefits of conservatives evaporated in the weeks leading up to the election. By the time the election day came, the Liberal Party had voted as a clear favorite.

On the campaign trail, Carney promoted his financial experience and actively pushed back on Trump’s trade salvo and threat to transform Canada into the US 51st state.

“Unfortunately, our old relationship with the US is over,” Carney said on Sunday’s final pitch to voters.

“And America’s leadership in the world economy is over. And this is a tragedy. This is still playing. But it is a tragedy. It is also our new reality. We have to recognize it.”

“We’re going to fight,” Carney added. “We’re fighting Trump’s anti-abuse. In fact, we’re already fighting our own anti-abuse that has minimal impact in Canada and causes the biggest damage in the US.”

When Canadians went to the poll on Monday, Trump returned to his topic of Canada becoming a US state.

“Good luck to the great people of Canada,” Trump wrote about the true society.

“Choose people who have the strength and wisdom to cut your taxes in half, increase your military power to the highest level in the world for free, have your cars, steel, aluminum, wood, energy and all other businesses.
