Hours after reports of raids in Yemen’s Sada and Amran states are reported, attacks on US warships and Israeli military sites occur.

Several airstrikes have struck northern Yemen, according to Houthis. He said he attacked US warships in the Red Sea and launched a drone at a military site in Israel.

Houthi-Afileated Media reported Wednesday that at least 17 strikes had collided with Saada and Amran, denounced the US the attack.

The rebel Ansarollah website said that the US war plane “has been aggressive air raids… causing serious damage to civilian property” but did not give details of the victims.

According to Almasila TV, another media outlet associated with houthi, several attacks targeted the eastern Sada and the Alsalem district, but two attacks took place in the Sufian district of northwest Amran.

The US fighters also carried out five strikes in the Sahar district, west of Sada late Tuesday night.

In response, Houthis said they launched attacks on military targets in the US and Israel.

The Yemeni army carried out two military operations, Khaoti spokesman Yahya Sari said on X on Wednesday. The attack included one of USS Harry S. Truman, an airline for USS aircraft in the Red Sea, but drone targeted another Israeli military target in Tel Aviv.

“The conflict and clashes lasted for several hours,” Sally said, adding that Houches would stand up to “American attacks” and “escalation by escalation.”

Houthis continues to prevent Israeli navigation in strategic waters off Yemen, and “will carry out operations against Israeli enemies until the invasion stops and the blockade of the Gaza Strip is lifted,” he added.

Sacrifice of “necessary”

The US has been attacking poor countries since March 15, killing at least 53 people and wounding dozens more, citing last year’s targets of Houches on major transport routes in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, as well as support for Hamas during Israeli war with Gaza.

Houthis says it has carried out more than 100 attacks on transport since the war with Gaza began in late 2023, targeting vessels associated with Israel and its allies in acts of solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza.

Houthis suspended the attack as a ceasefire was enacted in the enclave in January. However, as the armistice collapsed, the Yemeni group threatened to resume its campaign.

“The US attack as Yemen continues [the Houthis] We will retaliate amid the escalation of conflict,” said Mohamed al-Attab of Al Jazeera, reporting from Sanaa on Wednesday.

“The reality of many Yemenis remains desolate. The ongoing war since 2015 has led to poverty of around 20 million people and faces hunger for nearly seven million people,” he said.

“Despite the devastation, many Yemen remain steadfast in their support for Gaza and believe that Israel needs their sacrifice to halt its military campaign and lift the blockade. [for]despite their country tackling a merciless US strike. ”

Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump renewed his call to Iran to end support from Iran, pledging that the Yemeni group will be defeated by Washington.

Although Houthis is allied with Iran, it is not clear how much it relies on Iran’s support, or whether Tehran can order it to stop the attack.
