Semiconductor Giant Intel Corporation has already received a federal subsidy from the US Ministry of Commerce through the CHIPS and Science Act in the United States.

Intel’s joint interminic CEO, executive vice president, and CFO Dave Zinsner, the company based in Silicon Valley, the first Transie -based company was 1.1 billion dollars on the federal subsidy, $ 11 billion in January 2025. Was received.

Zinsner added that these subsidies are based on reaching a specific milestone. In addition, $ 5660 million has not been distributed yet.

The company was awarded a total of $ 7,866 million subsidies in November to build semiconductors in the United States in November, as part of the US Ministry of Commerce’s US Chips and Science Law. It was a considerable amount, but the total was less than the original $ 8.5 billion estimate.

When Intel was awarded a subsidy in November, the company plans to make funding for manufacturing, advanced packaging, or a technology for assembling and integrating multiple semiconductor chips in one package. He said he was there. It will be implemented at Inter facilities in Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio, and Oregon.

The US Chips and Scientific Laws were signed by former President Joe Biden in 2022 to increase domestic semiconductor production. The law has secured $ 52 billion subsidies for domestic chip manufacturers.

Two years ago, the Chips Law faced several uncertainty under the Trump administration. According to Bloomberg’s report, if President Donald Trump’s federal funding freeze, which is currently blocked by the federal judge, has become effective, it will affect employees of the Ministry of Commerce focusing on the CHIPS law.

However, ZINSNER had Rosier Outlook. When asked by analysts, he said that Intel had already communicated with the Trump administration and said that the government’s prospect of returning semiconductor manufacturing to the United States was “really comfortable.”

“We look forward to continuous involvement with the Trump administration by supporting our efforts to improve this work and strengthen our US technology and manufacturing leadership,” said ZINSNER. I talked.
