UN envoys for “recurring” military attacks in Syrian slam warn of Israel’s military attacks in Syria, violation of international law.

Syria marked the strengthening of Israeli military operations within the country, accusing Israel of trying to destabilize the country after double attacks on Air Base and a fatal ground invasion.

Syrian state news agency Sana said it was the deepest invasion of the ground by Israeli soldiers in the region since Israeli soldiers fired overnight in Della, southern Syria on Wednesday, killing nine people and falling after former President Bashar al-Assad.

The country’s foreign ministry said in a telegram on Thursday that the overnight attack was an “unfair escalation” and a “deliberate attempt to destabilise Syria and exacerbate the suffering of the people.”

An Israeli Army spokesman said Thursday that he was responding to fires from gunmen during a ground operation in the Tasir area near Nawa city, “grabbing weapons and destroying the terrorist infrastructure.”

“[Israel’s military] They will not allow the existence of Syrian military threats and act against them,” the spokesman added.

Residents of the Tasir region told Reuters that a group of armed local people were killed after facing Israeli forces who had arrived in the area to destroy the former Syrian camp.

Syrian UN envoy, Geia Pedersen, denounced “repeated strengthening Syria’s military escalation by Israeli” and undermined “an effort to build a new Syria in itself, in the region and in peace.”

He called on Israel to “stop these attacks that could be a serious violation of international law.”

Strategic Air Base has been destroyed

Israeli aircraft carried out two attacks on military targets near Damascus late Thursday, saying the war monitored the Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (SOHR).

“Israeli fighters carried out airstrikes in military locations and posts near Al Kiswa and Al Mukairiba on the outskirts of Damascus,” the station added that there were no immediate reports of the casualties.

On Wednesday, Israel launched some of the most intense air attacks on Syria since in December, rebels led by interim president Ahmed al-Sharaa abdicated al-Assad.

Syrian Foreign Ministry said Hama Air Base was almost completely destroyed and dozens of civilians and soldiers were injured as Israel hit five separate areas in a 30-minute window overnight on Wednesday.

Israeli forces have said they have attacked the remaining military capabilities on Hama and Homs Air Base, in addition to the remaining military infrastructure in the Damascus area, which Syrian media and officials say were attacked near the scientific research facility.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said the attack was “a clear message and a future warning. The security of the Israeli state will not be harmed.”

Reflecting Israel’s concerns about Turkish influence in New Syria, Foreign Minister Gideon Saa accused Turkiyer of playing a “negative role” in Syria, Lebanon and other regions.

“They are making every effort to have Syria as a protectorate of Turkey, and it’s clear that that’s their intention,” he told a press conference in Paris on Thursday.

The Foreign Ministry of Torkiye described Israel as “strategic instability,” which refers to “stimulating chaos and feeding terrorism,” and representing “the greatest threat to local security.”

“Therefore, in order to establish security throughout the region, Israel must first abandon its expansionist policy, withdraw from the territory it occupys and stop undermining efforts to establish Syria’s stability,” the ministry said.

Nearby Jordan called Israel’s repeated attacks on Syria a clear violation of the 1974 liberation agreement between the two countries and a “significant violation of international law.”

Saudi Arabia and Qatar also condemned Israeli attacks.

Israel has conducted a massive bombing campaign against Syrian military targets since rebels took over control of the country.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for a complete demilitarization of southern Syria in February, saying his government would not accept the presence of a new government force near Israeli territory.

In December, Netanyahu ordered the forces to enter a non-patrol buffer zone separating Israeli and Syrian troops along the 1974 truce in occupied Golan Heights.
