Summer is here and with that, there is a great opportunity for brands and event planners to leave the meeting room and infiltrate more creative and immersive spaces.

Whether you’re designing a festival-style experience or planning an outstanding corporate social, here are the top trends that intensify the world of events this season:

1. A purposeful outdoor venue

From rooftop terraces to countryside glamping sites, outdoor venues are more than just a background. They are invitations to breathe, connect and rethink the space. Our clients are looking for venues tailored to wellness, sustainability, or exclusiveness. Think of yoga at sunrise, outdoor panels, or starlight networking sessions.

2. Festival Style Activation

Say goodbye to the strict agenda. With live music, food trucks, immersive brand pop-ups and free-flowing schedules, the festival-style format is becoming a go-to for internal staff events, consumer launches and even meetings. It’s about creating choices, energy, and Instagrammable moments.

3. Showing sustainability

Sustainable events are not trends. They are looking forward to it. But it’s not just recyclable cups this summer. Guests want visible, verifiable actions: zero waste catering, green travel options, digital first experience, local sourcing. Bonus points to give back through carbon offsets or community partnerships.

4. It’s a hybrid, but smarter

The hybrid is not dead – it has evolved. There are fewer fully hybrid events, but many events employ digital layers. It’s on-demand content, a virtual networking lounge, or second screen engagement for people who can’t participate in real life. This is a great way to expand your reach without the pressure to broadcast everything live.

5. Wellness-centered programming

Hopefully demand for wellness add-ons continues to rise. Think of moments of sound baths, nutrition-driven catering, fitness breaks, and outdoor mindfulness. It’s no longer “it’s good to have”; wellbeing is now part of the ROI.

6. A bold brand experience

Forget the subtle things. This season is about colours, textures and interactions. Brands want to remember whether photo-worthy installations, interactive storytelling, AR moments, or tactile product engagement. All elements need to be designed for discovery and sharing.

7. High expectations for shortened lead times

Is there one trend that’s not that much of a fan? Lead times continue to shrink, but there are no expectations. The Agile Events team wins by building strong supplier relationships, templates repeatable event assets, and preparing them for scale-up or pivots in a short period of time.
