Global conferences surged in 2024, with nearly 20,000 members of IAPCO.

The International Association of Specialist Conference Organizers (IAPCO) revealed that members who provided 19,469 conferences and conferences around the world in 2024 have announced. In total, these events generated more than 17.8 billion euros due to economic impact. This is an increase of 3.54 billion euros (19.8% jump) from the previous year, according to IAPCO’s newly released annual member economic impact and business strategy report.

This growth was driven by a surge in 2,425 additional events offered by 92 certified members of IAPCO in 180 global offices.

This report (released April 3, 2025 in Global Meetings Industry Day) highlights how face-to-face meetings across key sectors such as health, energy, technology and finance are driving recovery and innovation.

1,969 events have already been signed over the next few years, even before the destination or venue is selected.
