A professor at the University of Pennsylvania apologized in the accusation of praising the suspect on the killing of United Healthcare CEO on the street in New York.

In Instagram’s story, which became a viral this week, Julia Alekseeva, an assistant professor of English and media research, seems to call Luigi Mangione, a 26 -year -old pen graduate, “the icons that we need.” Mangion was arrested on Monday in connection with the shooting of Health Insurance’s executive Brian Thompson. According to law executives, Mangion’s fingerprints matched what they found at the crime site.

ALEKSEYEVA has also appeared in the Tiktok video next to the caption. “I never became a professor at the University of P3nnsylvania.” In the video, she moves her finger and moves to the beat of “Les Miserables” songs for soldiers who have risen in battle. Posting and videos screenshots and recording were reclaimed by the previous Twitter X conservative account.

In the Tuesday post, the professor acknowledged that she had released a video on Tiktok late on Monday and released some Instagram stories.

“These were completely insensitive and inappropriate,” Alexeeva said. “And I completely withdraw them. I have not tolerated violence and I really regret the harm caused by the post.”

Alekseyeva did not respond to the US Today comment on Wednesday.

In a statement on Wednesday, Jeffrey Calberg, Deputy Director of the Faculty of Arts, called Professor’s remarks “against values.”

“Inspectly, Alexeeva, Alexeeva, agreed that the comments were insensitive and inappropriate and withdrawn,” said Calberg. “We welcome this fix and regret the recession and concerns that could have caused this.”

The university did not comment on whether Alekseyeva could face disciplinary actions or whether she had already had it.

The accuracy of the media is an external group known for DOXX, a parent Palestinian student and teacher during the campus protest of the past year, and this week, the council on the school counselor over the statement of Alekseyeva. The writing campaign has started. This message calls for donors to stop funding to school.
